I invite you to a little known, but pretty part of Hungary. The valleys, lakes, woods and hills of the County of Nógrád are reasonably close to Budapest and they seem like a countryside that time forgot. You will see lovely old palóc venacular buildings, you will hear bird song and beautiful peace and you will find friendly country folk you have changed very little over the centuries.
This cache is placed in a lovely oak and acacia forest, just above the hamlet of Virágospuszta a mile North of the village of Bér. En route to the cache your can stop and visit the village, with its ancient church and lots of pretty little houses. If you feel like a short hike, you can park in the village and follow your GPS to the cache about a mile away. The hamlet's buildings now serve as a hotel and holiday place and the owner is only too pleased to show you around. Have a nice time and enjoy the beauty of the Nógrád countryside!
The hide is an unusual one, about 1.8 metres high, in the woods on a slight hill.
